GOOD MANNERS CLASSES

Feeling Frustrated with Bad Manners?

  • Does your dog jump up on people?

  • Does your pup not know how to greet other dogs well?

  • Embarrassed that your dog doesn’t seem to come when called?

  • Does loose-leash walking seem like a far-off dream?

  • Have you resorted to aversive strategies and tools you thought you’d never use?

GOOD MANNERS CLASSES CAN HELP

We would all love to have the connection with our dog like we grew up seeing in the movies. While we spend resources on their well-being, schedule social interaction for them, and provide a high-quality life for them, behavior can be a whole other story. Our Good Manners Class is designed to equip you to partner with your dog to build the relational foundation you are longing for.

GOOD MANNERS GOALS:

  1. FOCUS WORK: The critical first step that all others depend upon. If your dog will not look to you for cues it will be difficult to give them consistent direction.

  2. RELEASE: Permission to break attention from the last cue.

  3. SIT & DOWN: Basic cues to help reduce anxiety and provide focus.

  4. WHISTLE TRAINING RECALL: Simple recall with a dog whistle.

  5. POLITE GREETINGS WITH DOGS & PEOPLE: More advanced work for the eager and overly excited pup. Work toward polite sniff greetings with no barking and no jumping up onto people.

  6. LOOSE LEASH WALKING: Enjoy the freedom of the walk you long for; in unison and together.
